Core Group/Program Group Meeting

Present: David, Nell, Jill, JoAnne, Cami

JoAnne and David reported about two Program Committee site walks meant to
explore alternative locations to South Village.

We walked the Galipeau property outside the village of Shelburne just off
Harbor Road. We were excited and enlivened by the

land and its relationship to village life - walking proximity yet
privacy. Jill and Cami went immediately after our meeting

to speak with David Miskell and enlist his feedback and help.
He has since reported to us that the land is under a no-build easement.

David and JoAnne walked a village side property in Hinesburg that was
already permitted for a small LEED certified development . It was not
deemed appropriate due to close proximity to busy traffic flow on two
adjacent sides as well as lacking adequate open space.

Other sites were mentioned that could be worth exploring - the Rte. 7 /
Ferry Road property, which Jill is going to take up. JoAnne suggested

looking into hiring a realtor to assist us if needed in land search.
Since our meeting, David Miskell has informed us of several possibilities in Charlotte (Hinsdale land) and Shelburne (O'Brien land).


Two names were brought to our attention with regard to potential
advisors/services to our project:

David Miskell with regards to land search and Thomas Hinglesburg, an
ex-Truex architect recommended by David Miskell.

Future meetings and dates:

Next meeting: Tuesday, Feb 16 7 pm

The Program Committee is preparing a visual presentation of housing style
options including senior co-housing that could meet a diverse nature of
square footage and construction.

Dessert pot luck Site TBA. JoAnne is working on LCWS as our meeting
place.
We are planning a winter field trip to Cobb Hill cohousing community in Hartford, VT for Saturday, March 13.
We'll confirm with Cobb Hill and get back to you.

The Program Committee is meeting Friday Feb 5th at
1:30 in JoAnne's classroom.

Core Group is meeting Feb 12th at 1 pm at Kevin's Wine and Coffee.
